Mom's Apple Crisp

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Make the filling. Mix all the ingredients together.  Pour into 9x13 baking dish.

  3. Make the topping. Mix the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl.  Blend the butter into the mixture until lumps form.  Stir in pecans and sprinkle over apples.

  4. Bake at 350 for 35-45 minutes.


Ingredients

Filling

  • 7 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and finely chopped

  • 1/3 c chopped pecans

  • 5 T all purpose flour

  • 3/4 C brown sugar

  • 3T maple syrup

  • 1 T lemon juice

Topping

  • 1 1/2 C all purpose flour

  • 2/3 C brown sugar

  • 1/2 t cinnamon

  • 1/2 t salt

  • 12 T (stick and a half) butter, cut into small pieces

  • 1/2 C chopped pecans
